Week 2 of class

This week in composition we had a workshop with our papers. My group wasn't very helpful in critiquing my paper. I don't know that means mine was that good, or they just didn't have any ideas. After that, we did a review of the 8 parts of speech. Yeah, here is me, 30 years old, in college, talking about what a noun is. I wasn't so amused. So I was the obnoxious, know it all.

Tonight I had Patient Care. Worthwhile class. We have learned how to do height and weight measurements, Temperature, Pulse and Respiration and blood pressure. Yup, I now know how to take a blood pressure. Kind of. I think. My partner wasn't very cooperative. She moved and was talking, so I had a hard time telling when the sound went a way. I was excited though, because I finally understand at least what we trying to hear and when we should and shouldn't hear sound and what the systolic an diastolic numbers mean. Yes! I have learned something.

We don't check blood pressures on animals all that often. We started to towards the end of my working at the clinic, but it wasn't that reliable. We had a doppler. I only used it once. Not exactly lots of practice. The other way we could measure bp was to use our anesthesia monitor system. That was kind of like a human machine. We wrapped a cuff around a furry little leg, or sometimes a tail and pushed a button. It filled the cuff with air, slowly released the air and then beeped with its 2 numbers. Yup, that was pretty simple. As far as accurate, who knows?

I have "the biggest test of the quarter" in Patient Care next week. My final draft of my paper is also due. I am glad I only have 2 classes.

They obviously didn't have any critiques because your paper was just that darn good.
